| BEAVER VALLEY WATER SUPPLY | | Tank Capacities | | | | The Fruitvale and District Water Managment Commission area receives direct supply from Kelly Creek, and when required there are two back up wells. The storage capacity of the Fruitvale Tank is 1,091,040 litres (240,000 gallons), Mill Road Balancing Tank holds 454,600 litres (100,000 gallons), Kelly Creek Reservoir holds 2,727,600 litres (600,000 gallons), and the Water Treatment Plant hold 611,000 litres (134,400 gallons) for a total storage capacity of 4,884,240 litres (1,074,383 gallons) of water. Water is treated with a series of sand filtration and an ultra violet system then minimal chlorine is added to the water. The western section of Fruitvale is serviced by the Beaver Falls Waterworks District. | FRUITVALE & DISTRICT WATER COMMISSION BOARD OF MANAGEMENT | | | | The Fruitvale & District Water System is owned by the Regional District of Kootenay Boundary and operated and maintained by the Village of Fruitvale. The Board is comprised of the following: Two members elected to the RDKB board as director or council appointee; One member appointed by the Village Council to represent the Village of Fruitvale; One member appointed by the RDKB Board to represent the RDKB; and One member approved by the other four appointed members on the board.The 2010 Board Members are: Chair: Rick Johnston Deputy Chair: Members: Larry Gray, Ali Grieve, Jim Peters & Tabatha Webber.

| WATER CONSERVATION REGULATIONS | | Effective January 1, 2009 until further notice | | | | LEVEL 1 Water Conservation Regulations Odd numbered houses water on odd numbered days; Even numbered houses water on even numbered days; Only one sprinkler per household; Sprinkle between 7:00 am - 10:00 am & 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm Underground sprinkler systems water between 1:00 am & 6:00 am for 20 minutes intervals per zone. Ensure that water stays on the lawns and does not run onto the roads or sidewalks. Please refrain from sprinkling when it is raining. |
